2. Valis is more or less just good inspiring rock & roll. However, 'Kitty Kitty', which is Conner's other ensemble is more like 'raw played punk' with an edge to it. The tunes I thought stood out were "Venus In Red", the rocking "Friday's Done" and "The Kids Are Upset". To bad the label Man's Ruin is no longer. They did release some really good CD's.4/5(2).

3. I used to be in Kitty Kitty - I just wanted to mention that before this disks was recorded Shawn Parke was on vocals and I was on guitar! He helped write the music that you hear on the four Kitty Kitty tracks on the Valis Kitty Kitty CD, but, unfortunately, he wasn't able to record with Kitty Kitty/5(3).

6. Split: VALIS / Kitty Kitty This is the first thing ever released by Van Conner's own psychedelic/heavy rock project, VALIS - a split with (Van's brother) Patrick Conner's project, Kitty Kitty. There must have been some kinds of psychedelics in the water at the Conner house becuase this split offers up some really trippy tunes that are super.

7. With no shortage of problems to be found in his other band Conner and company gradually shifted Valis to the front burner and by had replaced Peters with a full time drummer and released their first record, a split release with Kitty Kitty on Frank Kozik’s Man’s Ruin Label.
